The base rent on the Waterfront retail unit is $3900/mo for 1300 sf. Not sure what the others in the street are like but if they’re similar no wonder they’re half empty.

There is on 1,300 sf CRU in the new building. There is also one on that side in the actual pumphouse. Haven't seen any leasing info for that one though so maybe it's spoken for.

Probably too late. By the time they are ready to cast the foundation it will be getting into December.

You are protecting and heating concrete as soon as it drops below 5C.

You'd think they'd take the parking revenue all winter then, no? Would it be at all useful to dig the hole now then let it sit til you can pour easier in spring?

time is money I guess. If you can get your building finished 6 months earlier then it is worth the extra pain of winter construction.

That being said, if you ever build your own house - don't let them start this time of year. Homebuilders can't be trusted with cold weather concrete.

Didn't you just say it's probably too late to start this year?

Sorry for the confusion - its too late to avoid the cold weather.

Construction can definitely proceed, just with the added costs associated with protecting all of the concrete components.

They're excavating down 15 feet for underground parking.

I live across from this site, and they are finding some interesting "treasures" as they dig. The biggest seems to be the squashed remains of metal holding tanks, and a couple of pre-existing foundations. It's been pretty cool to watch.

As far as I know (and it may have updated - today is my first day back after three years ) you have to upload on an image hosting site, then post the link here (click on the "photo" icon in the taskbar above, then copy the link provided by your image host). Sounds complicated, but it's easy after you do it for the first time.

I just used https://postimages.org/ Start an account, upload your images, and you're good to go.
