This week we were fortunate enough to host Denscity in St. John's. He's from Castlegar/Vancouver on Canada's west coast. Rome is closer to St. John's than is Vancouver - so he was a long way from home. This was the tour we took him on.

We started with a trip to Cape Spear, the most easterly point in North America. Looking back at St. John's from Shea Heights, on the way to the Cape:

The newly-reclad TD Place on Duckworth Street.
The tourist season is in full swing. It's now a billion-dollar industry for us - not bad for a small city that's not tropical and very expensive to visit.
George Street is a great place for people watching.
We explored some fire escapes that we probably shouldn't have.

The final day of Denscity's visit was a miserable one - foggy and very cold.
