9/22/2020 - The I-beams are now visible above the federal building in the view from my apartment. I now have an idea as to what view will be blocked from my apartment. I will lose a little bit more of the bay view.

My only lament about this one is that it will partially muddle the otherwise very clear view of City Hall as you drive east down Fulton, a view that's somehow remained pure for many decades.

5M from 280 offramp

Surprised the hell out of me coming over the 280 6th Street offramp today. This will be the most prominent thing people see. Getting up there!

Some closer shots of the cladding:





I was a little skeptical about the overall aesthetic based on some of the renderings, but now that I'm seeing the panels installed and getting a better feel for the overall mass, I think it might very well turn out really nicely.

Feeling slightly sad for the now very little Chieftan, all tucked in there.
