Are the sections for the ALT hotel downtown being brought in via sea or land?

I'm wondering if the same people who build the overpasses are building the Sandman? They seem to work at the same pace.

A worker fell 6 stories at the site a month ago, maybe some safety hold-up?

Any update on the status of this hotel? I'm hoping that it's definitely Moxie's and that it opens soon...

That's what I heard but I'm not sure if it's official. I pass by it everyday while driving to work. All the paving is completed and construction fencing is taken down. Not sure if they'll wait until the spring to do landscaping (IMO that would make more sense). The hotel is a pretty big spot!

Do we have any updated floor plans or knowledge of what amenities the hotel will have?? Will they have a ballroom, large meeting rooms etc? I'm part of an organization that has a huge national event coming up in 2020 and need to book hotels within the next few months.

There's not much detail on the Sandman site, just that

Number of guest rooms: 200 proposed
Swimming pool & hot tub,
fitness centre,
business centre,
convention centre (meeting rooms, banquet room)

2 on-site restaurants

Ample on-site parking (360 cars)
They have a Facebook page , you could try and contact them there.

Out here in BC, Sandman likes to keep its restaurant brands consistent and Moxies, Denny's and Shark Club are all common at Sandman's. Although i don't think I have ever seen 2 restaurants at the same hotel.

Didn't the Best Western Plus at the Airport open a month or so ago ?

The Sandman ( fourth largest hotel in the city ) is due to open in March, while Moxie's a little later. Denny's opened yesterday.
