I don't think there is one, which is strange. However, I got word that the building is in the process of being built and hopefully someone will post some pictures of it.

The building construction has advanced a lot over the last couple of months with at least 4 floors built so far. Not sure how many floors its gonna be as there is no roof on it yet. I would imagine when its done it will look something like this one though probably not quite as large.

I suppose no one really cares about what a hotel on Kenmount Road, next to a highway on-ramp looks like.

Let me know if you can see the photo in the above link.

Some of you have been asking for pics of the hotel's progress.
Here is a shot I took on June 12. This is the back of the hotel from Tim Horton's parking lot as there wasnt really a place to to pull off the road to get a front shot as the highway overpass is right next door on the other side and the construction site is fenced off. There is once more floor to go on top of this with a total of 6 foors. Not sure if it will have a flat roof or a peaked shingled roof. Other various locations in the hotel's chain have both.

Was driving by the new Sandman Hotel today and they are finally putting the roof on it. It's going to be a multi-gabled style roof, not a flat roof.

A little too big of a picture but the Sandman is coming along nicely. Took this one a couple days ago.

The roof really does make it stand out from afar.

I agree! I visited the Tim Horton's next door yesterday and the Sandman building looked huge! A surprising addition to Kenmount Road for sure. The old buildings that were on that lot have now been removed which is making that overall space look much better. Looking forward to the much talked about restaurant addition(s) at this location as well.

I am pretty sure the new Sandman Hotel on Kenmount Road when finished will look very similar to this...

Here are a couple of pics of the Sandman taken 2 weeks ago. The exterior finish is coming along and the restaurant (?) is taking shape as well.

This thing is taking FOREVER to build!! Contrast this with the progress being made on the ALT hotel downtown. I realize the building methods are radically different but it sure does make you think about the best way to "assemble" something with so many common parts. It would be interesting to compare the costs per sq ft for the different building methods.
