I was just kidding, insinuating I was going to wear something that would ensure everyone else was uncomfortable and felt awkward.

I'm going to wear... whatever is either clean or on top of the laundry pile.

My outfit will be a v-neck sweater over a collared shirt. I haven't decided on the colours yet though. Thought about going lavender, but probably turquoise so I'll be easy to spot. The tall smurf.

FWIW, I will be wearing socks to match the rest of the get-up. I'm weird.

So is anyone else unexpectedly excited about this? I was looking forward to it but now that it's so close I'm genuinely getting very excited. I'd compare it to meeting up with some old college buddies when I first moved back home in June. It's the same sort of feeling.

If it goes well, we should try to make it a regular thing - aim for once every month or every other month, whatever.

Also, fingers crossed, this will break the ice a little in terms of getting some of us actually attending public hearings.

I haven't booked my ticket yet (so no exact dates) but I will be coming home for a week in March, would be nice to put a face to some of the folks here and have a chat over a few drinks.

I can't believe how far the city has come in such a short time, and also the board, I know when I first started coming here there was next to no talk about St. John's, now if I am away from my computer for a week I have a day of reading to catch up on!!! It's very exciting to see so many people discuss the future of our fair city.

I'm looking forward to this myself. I'll be driving down, as I have somewhere else I am hoping to be afterwards, but I'm very much looking forward to a pint with you gentlemen and a little discussion about ourselves and our role in the city!

Well, if that's how you're going to get on, you won't be invited to the next one.

Kidding. But if your plans fall through, don't be afraid to stop by.

Looking forward to it. Hopefully I don't lose track of time on Friday and just sit at home watching tennis all evening!

I'll FB yell at you. I have a chronic inability to be the first one anywhere. If I show up first, I'll leave and hide somewhere outside until I see one of you guys go in, ha!

well I never LOL
Yeah sadly they will not fall through i have a 3D cake business on the side and have four cakes to create before Saturday so i know i will be flat out... but defiantly next one i will look in advance and space out my orders LOL

Speaking of which, its part of my long term goal to open up a shop downtown to offer my goods (cakes and other baked goodies) i have often wondered what would be a good location in the buildings in the core any thoughts from anyone where a good cake business could fit in there?

This is one of those times when a comma is really important. Unless you really are an expert on man cake?

Also relevant, lol: http://24.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lr...ws1o1_1280.jpg

Man cake. That is all.

My girlfriend would kill me if she knew I messed up a comma.
