^Third'd. A building this tall, with a cookie-cutter res. highrise design? No.

Ironically, this is a revised design.

Here's an earlier look:

A little improvement but needs some more improvement. Is this project ready to start?

Well it does look better than the original plan. But it is still a dated design IMO. But it is not too bad.

It looks like it's part of Trump's Riverside project between 59th and 72nd.

To me, this building would look better without the setbacks. But its so close to the Woolworth Building, that had to be taken into account. Ironically, the Woolworth is going residential.

i actually like the design, it has a new-age art deco feel to it if done right in real life... of course the renderings arent too clear either.

is their a height figure for this building?

At least this will be the first new building the Civic Ctr gets since the Foley Sq Courthouse and the apartments that are near it back in 1999.

I didnt know the Woolworth building was going residential. I thought Met Life was the only classic skyscraper soon to undergo renovation.

Yeah, they planned to convert the Woolworth a while back, but then the office space crunch happened and those plans were canceled. Then 9/11 happened, and we are building 10 msf of space at the WTC.

There are a number of classic NY buildings going residential, including the Williamsburgh Bank tower in Brooklyn (hear Magic Johnson is in on that one), and 90 West St.

There's a whole lot of buildings in Downtown becoming residential. Example: The Crest

This is not located in the Civic Center.
