Got around to making my annual trip to the Sundial to photograph the changes around Atlanta this past Saturday. Comparing my photos to when I started doing this is 2014, the changes in 4 years is pretty crazy.

You can see the new Section 8 development on Boulevard nearly framed out along with the North and Line development completed near the Beltline.

Another photo of the Howell Mill corridor. You can see Theory Midtown getting closer to being fully framed and the crane of the Howell Mill and 10th project. More cranes are expected to come online in the coming months in this area.

You captured two of my favorite buildings in Atlanta: One Ninety One Peachtree and One Atlantic Center. the architecture of both are restrained yet so elegant.

A+ post.

Really lets you see there's still so much room for development in-town, how the west side is making its case for most dense neighborhood outside of Midtown/Downtown (and may justify transit enhancements over the years), development along Memorial Drive, as much housing is along the EST that there's still PLENTY of room for significant infill, Lindbergh is still such a strange place (IMO), and that Buckhead is growing up.

Also, I love that this pic has a chopper in it. Looks like a toy:

Wow those pictures really show how drastically different Midtown looks compared to even 5 or 10 years ago. I've seen photos of Midtown when the Federal Reserve was practically by itself out there and empty lots all over. Totally different city now. No one ever thought this would be possible 30 years ago.

I'm hoping the new developments in Castleberry Hill spur that neighborhood to being more lively. I hope it doesn't lose it's industrial vibe. I would want it to nurture an artsy vibe with creative people who appreciate the quality historic buildings.

The Westside is amazing. It is my new favorite neighborhood. Star Metals is a winner of a project that makes an architectural statement for sure.

Hadn't heard anything about this until I saw the frame going up from the MARTA train a couple weeks ago. Looks like a great addition to Castleberry Hill!
