Nice shots Jimby. Parkhill is one of my favorite inner city neighborhoods.

Thanks!

Here's an example of old school Parkhill, not many of these dollhouses left.

I should take a night shot. The concrete things have lights
in the grooves. I think their purpose is to block tanks from entering the living room.

I was just up in that area the other day. Saw that Sturgess one....pretty interesting. You can see the rendering on their website. Those first images of the infills down the street are pretty sad in their detail work....seriously brand new houses, which are probably expensive, with cheap downspouts tacked on the front...WEAK!

They are planters, if you go up there now the space between is infilled with dirt and there are remnants of flowers there. They have LED rope lighting under the lip edge which will be cool to see at night.

On the topic of Sturgess' website, there's a new rendering of the site plan for the LivUrban project, gives a good idea how narrow the project really is...

New pics, but repeats of houses already posted, but I liked the purple lilacs with the lime green, and the poshest house in Parkhill with the best view (in my opinion) is now looking more finished.

Not Parkhill, but on the same ridge; the pool at Rideau Ridge is open for the summer, but not for us.

^ I'm surprised you even got that close...

Sturgess has another project going up on the Parkhill ridge just south of your second shot Jimby... any chance you got a shot of it?

I had some juicy filet mignon for the attack dogs!
My first job in Calgary (and maybe the best job I ever had!) was cutting the grass here.

If you scroll back, there is a picture of the Sturgess house. I will be doing updates, but it is still just the steel structure.

Parkhill is an awesome neigbourhood, I would love to have a house up there.

Thanks... I'd seen the earlier pics, but was hoping there had been some progress. So far, I'm not sure about what I'm seeing.

I would expect this summer the house will quickly take shape.

I'm not familiar with this...Is this pool part of a house? Private club? Looks AWESOME wherever it is!!!

This is the pool for the townhouses on Rideau Place. The pool area has a great view of the Elbow valley, looking across at Earl Grey Crescent, down at Mission, and downtown beyond. The townhouses used to share the pool with the 4 apartment buildings, but now the apartments are banished to the shitty small pool at the entrance to the cul de sac.

Looking from the north escarpment of the Bow Valley on McHugh Bluffs in Crescent Heights, through downtown on 2 St SW to a house on the south escarpment of the Elbow Valley on 33 Av and 2 St SW in Parkhill.
