Chick-fil-A and homophobia

Don't know if any are interested, but an interesting discussion has popped up on another Calgary based forum - kind of amazes me that there are still so many with such skewed views. Discussion was supposed to be about the Chick-fil-A at the YYC airport and got derailed in the second post and has remained solidly derailed. Now seeing as I'm probably one of the oldest members over there, I am criticized quite often as being out of touch but I believe in the case of the derailed discussion in that thread, that I'd be one of the moderate voices - anyhow, I've stayed out of that derailed discussion but will post a link up for your amusement, link.

It isn't really a Chick-fil-A, it's just another HMShost airport ripoff outlet.

So similar to the places at SAIT run by the firm they hired to do housekeeping?

Oh it's Chick Fil-A alright, just with a very limited menu - and staff who are some of the least competent fast food workers in Calgary. And that's saying something. Why no, I haven't been there 3 times since they opened a coupla weeks ago, why do you ask?

On the controversy angle, there's a reason it's known as "forbidden chicken" in my house. It's a play on Homer's "forbidden donut". The owners may be abhorrent, but goddamn, the chicken is tasty.

I've only been to Chick-fil-A once and that was before I knew about the controversy. It was pretty good, but not overly special imo.
