Almost ready for the next floor. Things seem to be moving pretty quick now.

As more glass goes up, I cannot help feel excited at the notion of seeing glass among the downtown landscape- modern and old, something Austin doesn't have! The feeling of appreciation for other architecture increases.

What building are you excited to see against the new Frost Tower?

.
I'm honestly most excited to see whatever fills up space in those hideous parking lots. Preferably something with height, residential/mixed use and ground floor retail space. This side of downtown has a potential to be a huge boom for local growth rather than geared toward tourism, especially if the rail/rapid transit comes to fruition as I believe the central hub would be on the near west side of downtown. Not to mention the proximity to the expanding downtown UTSA campus and the contribution of thousands more students who will actually live within walking distance.

Without the Tower and hotels, San Antonio looks a liitle bit like Newark.

Wow. The old Frost building really does reflect on the glass. Impressive. Just like the renderings.

it's amazing on how fast they got the glass up on the second floor! They were just barely installing the glass yesterday and already looks like they're just about done. These are exciting times

The crane in the middle foreground must be for one of the residential blocks being built on S. Main, maybe this one: http://forum.skyscraperpage.com/showthread.php?t=211650

It's for the Encore Riverwalk. Should see more cranes this year for the Thompson, Canopy, Dwyer, Acequia, and maybe Civic Park. The Lower Broadway office tower should have a crane pretty soon also.

I saw them putting something on the front of the building where the glass is, and I kept thinking – could it possibly be the lighting for the building, but that seems a little too early. Now, at night, I see on the side of the building what I thought – it appears the lighting is there now. Interesting.

What color is the lighting? Nothing above indicates what color it is at all...
