None. All that's left is a podium structure atop the roof and the spire.

It appears that the assembly may have begun for what will be the building's spire. Anyone know for sure? (See webcam captures below):

I noticed that also. I'm not sure actually. I'd kind of be surprised they'd be starting on the actual spire just yet. It looks like that yellowish structure to the left (south side) of the building is the forms for the concrete. That structure they have there hanging from the crane may very well be the foundations/structural base for the spire. After all, the spire is supposed to be 91 feet tall.

One thing's for sure, the suspense is eating me up. It's getting interesting up there! Austin's never had anything that even remotely resembles a spire, so it's going to be interesting to see how it looks on the skyline.

FYI... I see they hoisted the ceremonial 'tree' atop the structure. Official topping out!

Screenshot from 11/15/07.

As priller pointed out in the other thread, the metal structure to the right is definitely the base of the spire. It looks like they're doing some work on it with a scissor platform also. I'd say that once they get this piece into place, and add the next one, that the building will officially be taller than Frost.

It looks like they're finished pouring concrete on the roof. They just removed the concrete pumper from the roof. Note the long yellow object being lowered with the crane. Everything else up there will just be facade treatment then.

Excellent catch, Kevin! Another milestone!

Wasn't that photo from today the 18th, though, and not the 16th as the caption says?

That's right, the 18th. Haha, little digits and bad eye sight lead to things like that.

Today they've removed the concrete forms for the roof portion on the south, (left) side.

And here's a few sunrise/sunset screen shots.

The webcam for the 360 is really excellent. The other projects should take note (hint, hint, Austonian...).

this is a common problem with austin's skyscrapers. because the limestone below is solid and close to the surface, parking garages have to be built largely above ground.

kevin, it's already gotten down to 40 and below? if it's 40 downtown, then that means it probably froze out west of downtown.

It reminds me of a christmas tree base.
They have already installed the next section so it may be Austin's tallest now.
They still have to install the pole. Is there a correct name for that part?
