Don't know if you guys saw this;

Lone Star Brewery rehab is tapping into urban hip
San Antonio Business Journal - by Tricia Lynn Silva

"For Mark Tolley, there’s no time like now.

Last month, Tolley’s firm, B. Knightly Development & Construction, purchased the former Lone Star Brewery, which spans 23 acres at Probandt and Lone Star Boulevard, near the King William Historic District.

Tolley’s plan for breathing new life into the site calls for a mix of multifamily units, restaurants, a health club, a 250,000-gallon pool and perhaps a boutique theater.

Later this fall, as part of phase one of the project, B. Knightly will start construction on 190 residences. While the actual square-footage figures are still being determined, Tolley says that the selling price for these units will start at $129,000.

Phase one of the Lone Star brewery redevelopment also calls for roughly 36,000 square feet of commercial space — including restaurants, a gym and the rehab of the German-style beer gardens that once graced the brewery. Tolley also plans to rehab the 250,000-gallon pool on-site at the former brewery.

Total costs for phase one, according to Tolley: $20 million."

it keeps going..
I passed by on Friday and saw a group of people outside the building and it wasn't construction crews. Perhaps it was a walk-thru, there were quite a few luxury vehicles parked outside.
Also, it looks as if the St. Benedict project is moving along, new windows were put in.

Open sign posted outside of gate, not much exterior work being done except the fence being painted. Not sure what they are open for, I might go in and check it out.

Toured this place on Sunday. It is going to be awesome. In fact I plan on leaving a deposit early next week on a unit. Some of the units will have roof top decks that should have some nice views of downtown.

In terms of developments taking place south of Alamo St. (Deep Southtown? and the South Flores Arts District aka SoFlo), there are:

Big Tex
Lone Star
Mission Power Plant
Clay Street
Cevallos Street

I say Deep Southtown because this stuff (Big Tex, Lone Star, Mission Power) are at the southern end of the Central Loop area, south of Southtown. I may be wrong, but I seriously once heard it called SoSo. South of Southtown

Did a quick search after writing that post and sure enough, SoSo is the name they're trying to get to stick for that area.

Sales/reservations are going very well at Lone Star. No available units in phase one and phase two is filling quickly. They are definitely well priced.
