They still have plenty of excavation work and then foundation before they can go vertical. Even at an accelerated pace, I'd say 6 weeks to two months. If I'm proven wrong, I'll be happy.

On a different note: I like that the webcam is actually a live video feed. We can watch them work in real time.

^^ The good news is that the soil is much easier to dig up than the schist in Manhattan. The bad news is that you have to dig up much more of the the soil than the schist. But it shouldn't take too long. Thanks for the photo update.

Yellow crane between the two tall buildings and just above the roof of the Tobin Center as seen on the northeast cam.

Has anyone else been watching the webcam for this project? I've been checking it the last couple of weeks and I've seen almost no progress or even any work crews on the site.

Can we officially place this into "site prep" status and add the web cam link http://dcpartnersusa.com/properties/thompson/ to the initial post??

I think they're getting ready to remove the electrical. Pretty exciting improvements happening to the area.

It's interesting watching the construction cam on this one.

Looks like someone is monitoring it remotely, and they keep moving it around and zooming in on random stuff. I wonder what was going on here:

According to the first couple of slides in this gallery, it looks like parking will be above ground, possibly floors 2-4 behind dark brown exterior. http://theartsresidences.com/#gallery
