Don't touch the trees!

- Fredericton

(CBC in NB must have run 8 news stories about a few trees that "needed" to be chopped. It was a going concern)

I love this city , but yes can poke fun at it too!..Imagine the 3 dudes at 3:00 In the morning trying to look for some random excitement after Elgin street closes. Sitting bored with hands clasped on their heads while sitting on a retaining wall in Confederation park wondering if they should back track to get to the Elgin Street Diner.

Saskatoon: Your car will be rummaged through.

(The first night I spent in the city after moving I had my car broken into. The fine people of the city both told me to keep it unlocked so '' they" can just look around, and told to leave a note stating that you had nothing of value on the dash.)

Ottawa: A city designed by, with and for public servants not from here and who want to pretend that they have taste and a sense of urbanity.

I had no idea that Toronto was even his city, but it must be considering that the thread title is clearly asking for the phrase which best describes one's own city.

Has Chadillac been to Toronto in the past 3 years? It's very different than it was in 1995 or even 2005.

Toronto: towers stuck in muddy york.

Vancouver - We are very picky about every detail, don't like following design rules, go to the sub-burbs.

Burnaby - Vancouver said no to that building, no problem building it here, you can even add a few more floor if you want.

Surrey - If you tell us it is going to be bigger and nicer than what you were planning to do in Vancouver we will let you build it. You did say it was taller than what you pitched to Vancouver.

Richmond - If it looks like it would work in Hong Kong or Shanghai, we are on board. We did tell you about the high limit. Something about earthquakes but don't worry.

Victoria - We want you to make it look old. The mayor would like you to commit to not using as petroleum products during construction.

Langford - Build whatever.
