Really the score complimented the Riders both weeks.... I do agree the Bombers should be ashamed for letting the first one get away, but with that said they did prove beyond the shadow of a doubt they were the better team.

Don't worry though .. I am sure they will fair better against the Stampeders.
Thats the beauty of the game a fan will always see it from their own perspective. I saw a great Labour Day Classic, with the better team winning. The rematch was won by the better team on that day. A split is a split no matter what.

Watched both the Labour day classic and the Banjo Bowl, saw the better team lose the first game but triumph quite handily in the second! The Riders record is more fluke than anything, the best team in the west is still the BC Lions.

Well, here is an idea. For the Alberta version of the Banjo Bowl, why don't we hold the game between Edmonton and Calgary, and call it the Dirty Rig-Pig Convention?

Actually the labour day game was a fluke and the Big Bad Blue proudly held their own that day.

However the Banjo bowl is another story altogether. That glee club you sent to play us had no chance right from the beginning. The Bombers played like fucking warriors out there.

I think it's safe to say the boys were seperated from the men on Sunday.

I just hope the Bombers can play like this in the Grey Cup.

I figured the lines would be drawn along the border. I guess the people of Manitoba have to accept the Bombers where as us on the enlightened side choose to follow the real team.

The rematch in November will be agreat game for the RIDERS. Too bad the Bombers will have to lose.

Well at least Kenton Keith did you guys proud on NFL Opening Kickoff.

As for the Bombers, them going to the Grey Cup is a given. I've already started booking my tickets to Toronto.

I'm thinking a Winnipeg Vs BC confrontation is a real possibility for the big dance.

With the Big Bad Blue winning of course.

Perhaps our next Wpg SSP meet should be at the Grey Cup party at Portage & Main, any takers?

Don't be booking tickets yet. Winterpeg has a long ways to go before a November trip to Toronto is a given. But saying that I'll buy your tickets off of you in November when the Riders make it and Winterpeg doesn't.

Nah, it's our year this year. I've got a good feeling about the Bombers, and who knows, maybe it'll be a great Grey Cup final between Saskabush and the Bombers, with the mighty Blue and Gold victorious in the end

Yaa, but we play in a weak division. You guys would actually have to earn your post at the Grey Cup.

I think the Bombers showing up in Toronto is a given. It's just a question of who makes it out of the West. It probably won't be Edmonton.

Yaaa but we totally dominated the supposed 'best team in the west' on Sunday.

Thus, I like our Grey Cup chances.

^ it will all depend on how healthy the Bombers key players remain.

I also wouldn't count out Montreal just yet. If they get healthy and the Bombers do the usual shitting of the bed in playoff games....

... well Winnipeg has faired very well against BC and Sask ... so I don't think the fact that Hamilton is in the East should be a factor. Edmonton isn't exactly lighting this up this season either.

The reality is Sask has played many teams during periods with some important injuries.

ie: Toronto was down to there 4th string QB .. BC down to there third.

If you ask me Sask still has alot to prove before they'll get respect for being first. The good news is they will have there chance in the coming weeks. Calgary is getting hot and Burris is actually looking good for once.

In my books BC is still the best team in the West, but are currently hampered with injuries. Buck will be coming back soon .. and the Lions will be back to 1st before you know it.

True.. and Winnipeg had that Edmonton tied game in the bag, if Westwood could have made 1 out of three feildgoals within the 35 yrd line.

Saskatchewan definately has a better kicking game, but we will have to see how the standings progress the second half of the season.

I think Toronto is a bigger threat with Bishop back at the controls. The Argos are unbeaten with Bishop running the offence. Definatly not a weak team.. when they are healthy.

Yeah .. the Pussycat Dolls were treated to a good old fashion beating..

Hopefully Toronto will offer the Bombers a higher level of competition .. that 2 blowouts in a row.. Its just not good for intensity on the back end of the schedule if they continously blow opponents away... then the playoffs come and ... ... maybe over confidence will become a problem.

Some good battles would be much more valuable at this point of the year.

Hope all you Saskabush hayseeds haven't bought your Grey Cup tickets yet, cause it don't look like the Riders will even make it to the western final!
