This pic may well be the most evocative urban shot I have ever seen. It is straight out of a dream.

Questions:

1. Where are all the fat people? I thought the UK had obesity rates approaching the US.
2. How many months out of the year do you have people lounging at outdoor cafes in summery attire?

fat people live on special islands in the Thames.

Just kiddin, the cities like London tend to be thin (ever go to Paris? Its thin centrale - size large in France equates to medium in UK, and small in US). Its the industrial suburbs up in the north of the country that pull the scales, all those pies .
Its a centralised-car hater-city trend. For example Scotland is the fattest part of the country enjoying fast food, sweets and soda pop. Meanwhile its capital Edinburgh is the fittest city in the country enjoying ethnic and organic food, gyms, social clubs and alot of walking.

I reckon the closer proximity and contact you have with others the less you would over eat in front of a suburban tv set.

ps Im glad you like the pic, I almost didnt include it. That whole area, as much of inner London, is made up of those Victorian terraces. Until the 1980s they were regarded as ugly.
