Can you imagine this area with

1. 270 Park;
2. 1 Vandy;
3. Grand Hyatt; and
4. 350 Park?

What a city!

^^ And Tower Fifth. I know everyone hates it but Macklowe will probably get it built and hopefully have the architects tweak the design for the better.

I didn't include that because I doubt that Macklowe will build it. He doesn't even own all of the land he needs.

Inevitably, someone will build something there.

I also didn't include:

1. The Roosevelt site because that's probably a few years away;
2. The old MTA HQ because I can't get excited for it until I see the design; and
3. Several other projects on Park, Madison, and Fifth for the same reasons as No. 2.

The permit docs refer to new caissons. I didn't expect there to be any new foundation work besides caisson caps. Would anyone happen to know which is correct?

Yes, it will be insane. And I'll include Tower Fifth because we dont always get to decide (see CPT and 53w53).

Always go with the DOB. But it's broken down into two areas.

Maybe Extell will build two tall towers at 520 Fifth and at Fifth and 46th. The MTA HQ and The Roosevelt also will rise in that area.

The permit to build up to the 3rd floor has been issued. The full building permit seems to be held up on the CPC approval of the final POPS design, among other things.

Yes, but we don't know what either tower will look like, although 520 has a tentative design.

I'm not sure what to make of this. Maybe the renderings are too crude at the moment, but it looks like something you'd do on the first day with 3D design software. I like the concept, but want to see how it will actually look.

Very interesting, no matter what!

Where do you see official renderings?
