As long as the south tower is the shorter of the two I'm going to hope it fails. Blair Kamin expressed this issue very well in his piece on the redesign.

If the second tower is built and the north tower fails and is eventually revived it better be the same design as the south tower and taller the markets should be better by then for a supertall.

400 Lake Shore Drive will be on the plan commission on May 21st.

The North Tower will be 74 stories tall

The South Tower will be 64 stories tall

I wonder if the ceilings are just way lower or the height got bumped back up at all since those were more or less the old floor counts.

Aren't they approved already though/should ideally start construction this month?

Really wish they got to supertall height, but they still look decent.

They especially look THIC from the north / south views. The better thinner view is looking straight down the river.
