You can have it.
I can imagine the winter winds making the floors icy cold in the winter season.
I never liked this design.

I think this tower is very angle dependent. How you view it matters. From certain perspectives, it looks gross, but IMO an angle like the above pic really makes it shine. Its definitely unique and that's a plus in my book. This, and Ingels Pyramid are two radically different styles for NYC.

We both agree on the amazing pyramid tower.
That's a work of engineering art!

Unfortunately, my opinion has not changed on this tower.
I usually like most skyscrapers rising in the NY sky.
This is just one eyesore.

Indeed.

It also manages to be one of the few towers that actually makes balconies look good.

It's a hell of an architectural achievement.

The glazing is annoying. The project still looks a bit of a mess but at least without the glazing it would be an interesting one... with them it's more of a loud mess.

But that's the design that someone actually developed.

Just because it's tall doesn't mean it looks nice.

Those aluminum frames on the operable windows are a disappointment. This looks like one that looks better in person.

Yes, from a distance the expressed aluminum frame surrounds at the operable windows to not bode well. IMO, the appearance is congested and messy. If the architect was looking for expression, vertical aluminum fins would have blended in better. However, the building shall always be unique, so that's a good thing right?

From chat with worker on site today, the construction elevator should be coming down shortly after Labor Day. It's mostly being used now only to take out trash.

In that last pic didn't see any of that glazing on the windows...were they only temporary and removed? If they were, great! It's still something to used to but much better now should that be the case.

Very hard to judge this building's appearance now. Glazing needs to come off and external elevator down. Hopefully it will look more like its renderings then.

Wouldn't this have some major thermal bridging issues?

Yeah, I'm curious about that, too. The extended concrete slabs look like textbook potential for thermal bridging.

Construction Elevator Coming Down

The construction elevator is coming down. Top couple of floors are gone. It will take over a month to completely remove according to a worker on site.
