Nope no questions but any office with those same views will also fill up, who wouldn't want a room with a view at work and play?

I would be pleasently surprised if we hear anything before September if at all given their track record. With the first office tower at RL a go later this summer it has likely hurt prospects for WTC Saskatoon. Maybe we will get lucky and the businesses going into RL are not all moving from locations already within the downtown core and vacant space doesnt go up much but sadly I suspect a couple companies are just moving around. We wont know until tenents are officially announced.

Yeah Atch. Was quoted saying that in an article by western invester or something like that back in March or so. I believe there is a link somewhere on this thread if you want to find it.

There is an alternative that may be a bit more viable. Online groceries are the taking off augmented with small form-factor retailers and delivery lockers (https://www.omnioninc.com/ and https://www.mightyplus.com/).

About a year ago SPUD opened up a small retail store in Vancouver for daily essentials with the bulk of the product coming from online.

on 25th st and 2nd ave( patricia hotel ) , a few weeks ago, a sign for development b6 zoning was put up. looked up what the B6 meant, states a max height up to 76 metres. i wasnt aware of that until today, not saying were getting a tower there, but nice to see that type of zoning be in place for that lot. Sure would be a great location for any developer to jump on that and do something.

Doubt he will be returning any time soon for future projects....too bad...I do believe the guy had vision, but just did not understand the market here I guess.

He has a strong vision for the type of projects he likes to be involved in. Here is an article about him and his latest project from earlier this month.

I do hope he comes back to Saskatoon. However there are also lots of opportunities in Victoria for him to leave his mark.

The Banks

IIRC, back when he was building them, I heard gossip about how unhappy he was with cost of inputs here - LeFevre likes to build a quality product and allegedly there is a concrete cartel here, making it more expensive than building in Vancouver. (Not to mention the other associated costs of building at the height of a boom.) To outward eye you can't see all the extra costs going into the Banks vs a regular 4 story wood frame and people balked at the pricing. Again, this is all very secondhand, so.

Beautiful design. We need these kind of developments along College Drive and also along 8th Street.
