Concrete Buildings and Landscapes - A Photo Thread

This thread is dedicated to photos of concrete buildings and landscapes, including examples of extensive or notable use of the material, whether they be dominant or detail elements. These examples could include anything from poured-in-place "raw" concrete to pre-cast pigmented or painted panels. Projects may include those that are considered Brutalism, but for a more extensive discussion and examples of that style see the older thread started by user "deja vu" in 2009 titled "Brutalist Buildings in Your Region" here: http://forum.skyscraperpage.com/show...ghlight=brutal

It is an additive thread so feel free to post your own photos or others found on the web! It will probably be appreciated if posts clearly label what and where the project is. The number of photos of each project should probably be kept to the minimum that illustrate the project clearly in order to keep the thread lively and varied.

Wow, I was just looking at this thread, thinking...didn't I start a topic like this a long time ago...and you found that thread! Making me feel old.

Of all of the concrete water fountains in public parks, I think the Portland one is my personal favorite. The scale of it is impressive, and all of the different spots to hang out and cool off are great.

deja vu, yes Ira's Fountain in Portland is awesome...I'm always curious when they will put up barriers for safety and ruin it, I hope they never do!

There's definitely some common themes running through all of those sunken water feature plazas. There is something very welcoming about the way they sink gradually into the ground.
