Excellent, just to visualize it -- here's the site plan:

That's exciting. I had assumed this was simply a pipe dream.

You thought that about Dranoff's building too, so maybe just continue doubting everything so that everything gets built?

Is that the Megabus Pickup location?

Calm down. It's been 5 1/2 years on that Dranoff project and they're only now breaking ground; and Dranoff appears to have made away with the state funds he had demanded for his hotel even though there is no longer a hotel.

A lot of these are actually ancillary activity and say other permits will need to be granted for actual construction. But still great!

Good to see movement on the first step required for actual development here. Brandywine always said the plan was to finish Drexel Square before doing anything else, and it seems they're wasting no time after finishing.

Awesome. Looks like we should in theory see actual, honest of god renderings of at least one of these by the end of the summer. I'm really looking forward to this development. This stretch of JFK is dead.

Not to mention that they probably wouldn't be forsaking the revenue generated by these parking lots unless construction were imminent.

I think interior work has started, unless Lowe's wallpapering is a thing now.

Inga's review on Drexel Park, and again mentions, "...Brandywine will break ground this winter on a 770,000-square foot office tower designed by PAU Studio. 4) It will also start work next door on a 344-unit apartment building with 200,000 square of office space.

Very interested to see what PAU comes up with here for Brandywine, their founder Vishaan Chakrabarti is a fierce advocate for designing "timeless cities."

Me too! Where do people think the nice condo, townhome, and single family home developments will happen as this develops into another key business district? Outside but the boundaries of the Schuylkill Yards itself but nearby?

Entire front of the Bulletin Building is covered in scaffolding. Work has begun.

From Brandywine Realty Trusts earnings call transcript:

The Bulletin Building renovation work has commenced and will be completed the first half of next year. As you know, the entire office component is leased to Spark Therapeutics and will remain in the 9.3% free and clear yield on cost upon full stabilization. We did provide a brief update in itself on Schuylkill Yards and Broadmoor, but to amplify a couple of points, we officially opened our public park on June 10th. Also during June, we received final approval for the remaining portions of Schuylkill Yards, which will enable us now to proceed on the entire 5.1 million square feet of a mixed use development. So that was a great accomplishment, we're very pleased with that.

Current design efforts, as we've outlined in this sup, really focus on our West Tower, which consists of retail parking, about 200,000 square feet of office and 326 apartment units, which is being done in conjunction with our residential partner, Gotham. Work on a primarily office-based East Tower is also progressing. And notably, planning is under way on a 300,000 to 400,000 dedicated life science tower that we're doing in conjunction with our life science partner, Longfellow. Our leasing pipeline is extremely healthy, including almost 500,000 square feet of life science uses. Given our read of the residential market and partnership with Gotham, we could be in a position to go on the West Tower by year-end 2019.

^Very impressive news. Definitely sounds like an announcement/rendering for the West Tower is very close (200,000 sq. ft of office, 326 apartments...).

Just for fun, the Riverwalk taller tower will be 321 units (at 363 feet tall). So with 200,000 sq of office, and I guess some sort of parking garage podium, the West Tower should be pretty tall.

Anyone know what they mean by "West Tower" and "East Tower"? Could it be 3051 JFK West and East?

They are marketing 3001 JFK and 3025 JFK, so I think it's safe to assume 3001 is the East Tower and 3025 is the West Tower.

I believe they mean 3001 and 3025 JFK. Those are the ones they are pushing for lease on their website and those are the ones that have recently gotten permits for site prep. In the renderings, 3025 is taller than the FMC tower!
