George, I know you're out there. Do you have any update about this one?

He's probably bound by confidentiality agreements.

That's a shame. The bracing along there (along with black glass, but who knows what the planned color was) gives off very Chicago-esque vibes, in a good way. Hopefully the general concept can be used elsewhere.

No. Go back and begin reading from post #681. That was another project by the same architect, and it is apparently dead now.

I did read. I read every post. Problem is I'm at work and sometimes pics don't load. It doesn't even show that there's supposed to be a pic, so I got super confused. Today I look up and see the pic and it all makes sense.

That makes sense. Without the picture for context the meaning definitely takes a turn (for the worse).

Moving closer to approval. The site plan filing had the first update posted this week since February.

https://abc.austintexas.gov/web/perm...rtyrsn=5189526

The distant skyline view coming in on I-35 from the South by the SH45 interchange is becoming impressive now that it is flanked by the Independent and Austonian. This project would show up almost exactly in the middle of the skyline between Indy and the Austonian making that view a proper big city ahead skyline shot.

The site plan was posted to the AULCC site today.

The elevations are included. I know that George Blume had mentioned there were 66 floors, but this is still only showing 65 occupied floors - at least, the "66th floor" is listed as the roof level. Maybe George can elaborate on that. Is there a space on the roof that would constitute it being a usable floor for building occupants? Or does the 65th floor residential level have a double level like a loft?

This also shows a slight increase in the height.

The elevations we've already seen showed it as 842 feet 2 inches as measured from the lowest sea level elevation above ground at the southwest corner of the building.

These elevations show it as 848 feet 2 inches as measured from the same location. In the elevations, it shows the numbers as 1,329 feet 10 inches above sea level at the top of the building, and the southwest corner of the building at street level is 481 feet 8 inches above sea level.

Otherwise, if you measure from the southeast corner then the height is 838 feet 6 inches as the sea level ground elevation there is 491 feet 4 inches.

The highest sea level ground elevation is at the northeast corner of the building, which is at 501 feet 2 inches. The height of the building measure from there makes it 828 feet 8 inches tall.

It also shows it as 100% designed and has the construction start window listed as this November to April 2019.

I couldn't find where it said that. Where did you see it?

At the bottom of the spreadsheet there is always a % of the design phase completed and an estimated construction start date. The construction start date is sometimes entered as the time frame for construction start to finish. Sometimes there is a brief description of the project that is not in the PDF plans.

EDIT: The spreadsheet also has a summary as to why the project is at AULCC. But one would have to be quite the utilities geek to care about that,
