I shudder to think of what it would be like if the Jets were in 13th place in the conference.

I also wonder what the impact of having 3 teams in the market happens to be? I'm sure that a lot of potential Jets single-game ticket buyers at the more price-sensitive end of the market end up buying Moose (still TNSE, granted) or Ice tickets instead.

^^ Jets demand seems soft on Sunday-Wednesday night games unless it is a marque team coming to town. Not even good divisional games are demanding a premium anymore.

I think the Moos market might be even softer seeming to focus mostly on getting out pre-arranged groups of people. ie sell a block of tickets to a work outing or similar.

Not sure what market the Ice thought they could corner that the Jets/Moose did not already have. As I have said before I think the long term strategy for the Ice is to target players and their family that hope of become NHL prospects and playing the the WHL. Then trying to play an angle how building that relatioship with the Ice helps improve your (perceived) chances at landing an RHA spot and later at Ice roster spot.

Wow, the handwringing is getting a little over the top on this Jets forum. Demand comes and goes. The Jets have never won anything. Getting further into the playoffs and eventually winning will make a world of difference. In the meantime, I don’t think we need to get too hysterical.

Throw in their extremely bloated NHL price mandates for beer, food and 'official' merch...

Plus it would be an incentive to get people to go out & spend their money, as well. "Bread and circus to the masses" would work well in Winnipeg & maybe help keep the lid on Winnipeg's current situation, if it became a reality. It would also leave NO more excuses, for bands to keep skipping Winnipeg for Grand Forks, Regina and others... I love the idea of a larger arena. I wonder if the issue can be forced, somehow. Chipman, like all good capitalists, might just go for it when he's done with TNS. Theres hope!

So it's hard to know if crime is actually increasing, or if its a perception based on these types of public forums.

BTW - for us uppity Wolesleyites - pockets of the West End are not "North Wolseley" - but rather PoWo...
yeah, I've encountered "North Wolseley" or Noseley for short referring to Scotia Heights.

As for the Wolseley page, some of the posts are pretty over-reactive IMO.

Looks like the development on Good Street is off and running. Didn't notice it before but heard loud clanging sound on way back from work, decided to check it out...

Can I really like the Good St. project? Adding people to an area. That's a win.

Wow thanks for that. Many projects I totally forgot about and some I haven't even heard of (456 Bannatyne Avenue, box car lane, upper fort Garry interpretive centre).

I think that high-rise on tache is officially cancelled tho? It was posted in the St. B thread I believe.

Lots of projects I hope to hear updates on soon. Namely Great West Metal on waterfront and that office block on mc Dermot.

Great! Hopefully they get built! The completion of the pumphouse project (phase 1&2) along with the the other two projects will make the East Exchange one of the best looking neighborhoods in the city.

They look fine to me. All projects have at least one image showing.
