Had heard that they wanted to be closer to Roges Place, then it went silent...

Braven - I have heard good things about it there, not so much Atlas Steak & Fish.

Besides Yellowhead and the new one that is supposed to happen in the old Character's building - what other brewpubs are in the Core or on the drawing boards. I don't mean Oliver Square as that is not in the Core.

Heard rumours about a new distillery, but nothing more on the beer front.

The Characters building is now 'Campio' - same owners as Jasper Brewing, Banff Ave Brewing and Last Best Brewing. Been a few times already and enjoyed it (great beers brewed in house and tasty food).

Campio group could have done a little better with its interior design imo. For example, Last Best in Calgary is much nicer inside. But i'm just nit-picking and biased to my own taste.

One thing they do not lack though is the food, everything I've had so far is amazing. I would call it high-quality pub food.

You absolutely have to try their deep-dish pizza; crispy perfection.

They do need to continue to 'warm up' the place and yes, their Detroit style is amazing.

"Detroit style" pizza is the bomb and all of the rage now...up here anyway...not so much in the States....don't judge me, but there is a fast food chain that does a pretty decent Detroit pie.....if you're in a fix and have no where else to go....lol....

Delux Burger Bar finally opened on the main floor of Edmonton Tower. However, their only entrance is from the Tower's lobby - both the 101 Street and laneway entrances are blocked off (101 Street is blocked by a cooler, no less). Not sure how this was approved, but a terrible effort at street interaction. Amore Pasta and Delicious Pho figured it out...

This just opened near the Servus Place rec centre. In a strip mall with an ESSO and Tims.

Would be nicer if it was further south by Endeavor Brewing. But will still head over for a try.
