This is why I am an advocate of the back alley system for parking, keeping vehicles in their proper place. Otherwise this is the unmanageable result.
Back alleys would be great if they were narrow. Instead, all the new developments I see gave wide streets in front and a two way double laneway in the back. They are now putting down more asphalt per house than the a regular subdivision.
One of my favorites. My best friend back in the day would always take Ukraine. Whenever I fought him for it, he would scream out (Hitler style*), "I WON'T LEAVE THE VOLGA!! I WON'T LEAVE THE VOLGA!!!" (funny as hell, but you had to be there to understand).
Hopefully needless to say, neither of us are fans of Shitler, but we both do love WW2 history...I have read probably several thousands of books on the topic, many 3-4 times over.

If you'd like to own a piece of Fugly history, here's your chance. It boggles the mind that someone who spent all that money to build this steaming pile apparently didn't consult an architect. If there was one involved they should lose their license for crimes against taste.
The megamansion is also a massive piece of Richmond history because there can never again be a mansion that size built on Agricultural Land Reserve.
You’re not permitted to build 22,000 square-foot megamansions on agricultural land in Richmond, but you can still buy one as long as you have $21.9 million.
A controversial Richmond megamansion hit the market Friday, immediately becoming the priciest home for sale in the city. Listed for a whopping $21,980,000, the nine-bedroom, 11-bathroom megamansion at 9431 No. 6 Road was built in 2018 on four hectares (10 acres) — a massive piece of Richmond land.
The home has two fireplaces, and two garages — enough space for about six vehicles. Annual property taxes on the single-family mansion are just over $16,000.

I can't believe the property taxes are only $16,000. That's less than 2x the property tax I have to pay in Moncton, and my house is worth less than 4% than this place.
And it's butt fuck ugly too. Have they not heard of landscaping???

Wow..that is fugly. I'm guessing new money and i'm also guessing that they aren't into landscaping/gardening and have way too many cars.

Taxes are low because it is in the Agricultural Land Reserve, that's why the City of Richmond had to move to close the loophole allowing such large homes. Offshore buyers were using it as a way to dodge taxes.
