Any updates? If so will it take a long time to work on the setback which is at the 28th floor if not what floor are they at? Thanks in advance...

Don't know how long the residential portion will go up. It seems they topped out the lower portion and are prepping for the residential part. It's been the same height for about a week and a half now.

It will be a while before construction continues to move upward. Look at Trump Tower Chicago for instance, for each setback they have to reallign a number of things and readjust for a new layout on the continuing floors. It will probably be at least a few weeks before construction continues to move upward once again.

Is there a webcam for this project? I can't find one if there is. This project seems to be taking forever to be constructed.

You're kidding, right? I don't know what your expectations of building construction are, but I have been surprised by Sovereign's quick progress so far. But I do share your frustration that there is no webcam for this project...

Heh...we had this discussion once already - construction takes a long time. Skyscrapers aren't just big collectables you can pop in a city whenever you want. Sometimes it's painful, but you just have to accept it.

Slow Down

I have a friend in the know...and I asked about the slow down. He stated they're concentrating on the parking garage now and should be moving upward in about a month.

Thanks for the photos. If Sovereign ends up being anything close to the renderings I have seen, I have a feeling that this building is going to be my favorite in Atlanta (with 1180 Peachtree being a close second).

Looking at 3344 today, it looks like they've begun work on the first residential floor. I thought it wasn't supposed to begin a few weeks, but it looks like it's beginning to rise again!

i agree. if the final product looks as good as what they've completed so far, this will be one of the hottest buildings in buckhead, atlanta and the US. thats a far cry from my original assessment when i thought this was a dubai wanna be. im glad i was wrong!

When you say "a dubai wanna be", do you mean that it would somehow look kind of "plasticy", gaudy, or maybe tall for tall's sake?
