Although the Fremont Street offramp rebuilding appears to be completed, the right turn lane to southbound Fremont is still coned off.

Are there any updates as to when this great project may start?

Related is pushing for an accelerated timeframe with groundbreaking on 12/1/15, and a podium redesign.

In the link I had posted above, the podium was redesigned with brick veneer -- not ideal.

However, I just came across this image from OMA that I think is more recent and is a significant improvement.

Actually that TNDC link also clears up some of the confusion from before. In the additional thumbnails, it shows that the west side of the tower has the serrated edge starting at the base and continuing to the top, while the east side has it starting halfway up the building. That hadn't been clear previously.

Thanks. I'm sorry to see the angled walls along the passageway go. But, yes, everything else looks much better on the podium buildings.

The skin on the tower seems less dynamic than it was in the earlier renderings. Maybe they just didn't bother with the most detailed version of the tower since I presume this is from Fougeron, not OMA.

Damn. All the fun and visual interest totally hacked to shreds. I fell in love with this proposal.
The tower could still be interesting, looks kind of like WTC2.

the south of market grid is rotated so far from north that every face of a building get direct sunlight.

it's artistic license, sure, but not unreasonable.
