I thought this would be a nice idea for a thread. It eliminates the pretentiousness (of which I've also been guilty) of posting 50-60 photos in one comment and allows everyone to be able to enjoy the pics without having to scroll through hundreds just on one page of a thread.
I'll start it off with three of my most recent captures of Calgary...
Mohkínstsis — 1.6 million people at the Foothills of the Rocky Mountains, 400 high-rises, a 300-metre SE to NW climb, over 1000 kilometres of pathways, with 20% of the urban area as parkland.

I like the idea of this thread, I don't find the other one pretentious - though sometimes it's more like a collection of photo essays - but often the page is unnavigable with a ridiculous amount of high resolution photos.

Every time there's a Whitecaps soccer game at BC Place Stadium (just down the street from me), this mob passes by under my window before the game. They're a lively (and noisy) bunch.
Personally, I hate Post a Picture of Your City Thread.
People post 100 pictures in one comment. If you can stick to this limit I will visit here.
Yeah, this is a great idea for a thread. A 3-photo per post limit is just the ticket... as excellent as the photos in that other thread often are, I find that I just start glossing over them when there are several dozen or more photos in a post. The pictures here really capture my attention.
