[QUOTE=deeger;8128202]A little more activity today:

Thanks so much for keeping us posted. I really like this building, and I am really excited to see it rise. It's one of my favorite areas of the River.

Progress update: 3.26.18

They've removed the covered sidewalk that was next to the construction site on St. Mary's and put in this larger barrier. Trucks are pulling in here to haul away dirt.

Boring holes into the side as part of foundation work I guess?

Clearing out the pit. (pardon my fat finger).

I can't believe this was approved over 3 years ago and it just now going to start rising this year. I am happy for it, but things take so long to to take off here. I'm just glad it finally started.

Update: 4.2.18

Still clearing out the pit; further along on the Commerce St. side than river side. Michigan and Villanova fans are loving the weather! Loyola and Kansas (my alma mater) fans like it just ok.

Update on Canopy Hilton Project - 5-01-2018

Here are a few images from today (5-1-2018). It seems as if the site clearing work is nearing completion. They've really moved a ton of land and gone pretty deep into the ground. Hopefully, they'll be going vertical soon!

Looks like they've reached a base, and soon they can start working on pilings and/or other foundation elements.

Man, this is such a fascinating construction site. Very un-Texas-ey because of its size! Thanks everyone for taking photos, it is much appreciated.

^^ Yeah, in that regard it's like something in New York. Even digging the deep pit for the foundation... you don't see that too often in Texas.

A traffic message board on St. Mary's St. says the street will be closed at Commerce St. from May 6th - 11th. This intersection is where Canopy is so maybe some big activity there during that time?

They're just excavating down to river level, so they can have river level stuff.
