That's actually funny in a pathetic, more truth than fiction, kind of way. The vacant lot on the corner of 15th and Scarth would be another good place to increase value by planting a crop.

Wheat and barley? Are these fields going to be backdrops for staged renditions of "The Last Saskatchewan Pirate"? Maybe another way to increase value...

You're right, marijuana crops have a better return.

I have a friend in the steel business in Regina who says Capital Pointe has asked for a quote on 900,000 lbs. of very heavy sections, delivery would not be until Sept-Oct. IF it gets ordered. I told him hope the cheque doesn't bounce! Now CP has stated that if construction does not begin by the end of June (2014) Ha! Ha! people can get their deposits back. Hmmmmmmmm!!

Believe it or not it's true a very large company From a western Canadian province took it over and construction will proceed fairly soon a rumour though but a very solid lead

I don't want to be too speculative or create rumours that at this time I cannot 100% verify for certain, but I have heard that late Summer, July/August of this year are tentative dates for this project to begin.

I certainly hope this will be the case after all the delays that have plagued this proposal for some time.

If I verify it, I will post it as such. Hope for the best.

How soon until people start lining up to get their money back? Has Capital Pointe emailed purchasers anymore information?

I have a realtor as a friend on one of my social networks who recently made a post about Capital Pointe because she's getting asked about it from time to time. Anyway, she stated that YES it is moving ahead and will be built in spite of the delays. More news is apparently coming shortly.

You really really expect people on here to believe this based on word of mouth?

I don't expect anyone to believe anything. Just sayin'. Don't care too much what you believe.

Tight "friends" you have ! This blog sounds like a stock "pump & dump" blog.."News coming soon", "Big announcement coming" ...... too funny. Call Fortress Financial...they will give you the update... )Hint: there isn't one.

See you next year..

New Proposal

Why not keep the name Capital Pointe, but build something similar to the space needle in Seattle, or the Calgary Tower. It'd be perfect for that site.

Truth be told, I have been coming up with ideas for a tower that is similar in function to the Calgary Tower and the Space Needle, but I don't think Regina can afford it as of now.

So Capital Pointe is apparently going to have an updated website soon.

Well, that's progress if you're this group I suppose.

Another delay. It seems like the project still lacks the proper permits. Lol!

What a surprise. If they can't even renew their permits on time it's a clear sign they aren't serious about construction. This happens every single time they expire.

Uuugghhh, so frustrating. It's such a great project, and would go a long way to improving downtown. It's too bad the city can't force them to sell the land.

Oh, with this freshly-announced delay, if $5 would get you $10, I'll bet that a lot of investors will want their deposits back. The Open House for this project was in June, 2010!
