According to the model, there will be structural floors all the way up to 568 meters (they would be approx 100 square feet per floor at that level though). Can anyone confirm that structural floors will actually raise to that height?

Possibly I am mis-interpreting the model?

^^Define what you mean by "structural floor"? The concrete will stop (I am assuming at about ~550 meters as the construction company website listed), and then they will be attaching a structural steel section to the top of the building. The steel part may only contain the broadcast/mechanical floors though, but they would be "structural" technically.

this is just amazing. i am putting my foot in my mouth when i said a year ago no way this thing would go up or be as tall as they said. i guess the latter has not been proven, although they are definately putting it up. this city is phenomenal. has there ever been any urban development on this mass of a scale and in this short of a time frame in human history?!

[QUOTE=Daquan13]I thought that Samsung only made micrwave ovens and refrigerators.

You also forgot that they make substandard tv sets. Also cell phones and now they make world's tallest buildings for a cheap price.

BD better come with a warranty or you better buy extended life insurance when visiting the observatory.

In the other forum, they are at part 16 and they are calculating curvature of the earth and the tip of the spire. Most of those guys need a girl.

This building will exceed 800m to spire and well over 600m to roof. For a conservative nation which does not allow girly magazines, they really are going for the full monty.

Yeah, makes you wonder what they'll do next.

I hope that it's not THEM who will help build the Freedom Tower! Can you imagine getting on an elevator and seeing the word Samsung as the name of the company that made it? Good gosh!!

As Theodore Wilson who played Sweet Daddy Williams in Good Times would say: " JJ,You are in t-r-o-u-b-l-e...............!"
