my renderings

Sorry I cant find the post credited with taking this photo, but I was bored and decided to paint the town.

You can sort of figure out what block some of these renderings would sit on.

I cant believe I haven't found too many renderings of downtown Winnipeg, just to illustrate how we could fill some of these parking lots with businesses and activities.

Let me know what you think

good start north49. though i think winnipeg would much better be served with twice the number of building at half the height of your towers.

great ideas there north of 49,

your building 2nd to the right is roughly where the CMHR will pop up, and somewhere in the middle (? i think) is where the assiniboine high rise will pop up

nice ideas, I dont see a new office tower being built anytime soon...perhaps some condos or appts downtown.

I dont really see anything taller than the Canwest building being built anytime soon, but you never know what will happen.

The CMHR is gonna be one hell of a skyline altering building though

It's some wishful thinking on my part. We certainly need more density, and the reality is that It's hard press any time in the next 10 years we'll see anything taller than the Canwest building. Maybe in 20 years we will see.

Yes some of those buildings drawn are based on proposals and some on empty lots where cars parked outnumber people.

I could see buildings taller than Canwest, but not too tall. Maybe another 30 to 50 feet, or something. We still got tonnes of space in Downtown, so going high isnt too much of an option
