Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone knows whats happening in southtown these days. Lonestar brewery development, Big Tex development, etc? I have not heard much of those project recently... The mission reach rover walk development is happening nicely.

Only things going on are Cevallos Lofts and the homes on Madison St. Cevallos will add 252 units in phase I and more with phase II. Completion of phase I is anticipated for Summer 2011.
Big Tex is seeing some action with demo of some buildings (not quite sure what happened with the whole clean-up cost thing) but I haven't heard of a construction timeline on that one. If he (the developer) goes the mixed-income route, he could get some $$help like NRP got for Cevallos lofts.
According to the most recent mysa.com article, Mission Road Power Plant is on track with (de)construction; a developer needs to be chosen for the project. Lone Star is hanging on with no definite timeline.

If Mission Road gets started as planned, then southtown might have a little boom soon.

Small development, but it'll be a nice addition.

King William Cafe

on the corner of S. Alamo and Beauregard St.
