That's what happens when anti-government 50-something white guys end up unemployed. With too much time on their hands, they nitpick and bloviate on the internet. There is one here (I knew the guy a few years ago before he went insane; used to be an excellent photographer before he gave up) who spends most of his time complaining about our waterfront development. He recently had an exposé about people ignoring the yellow line at the front of the bus. Real, hard-hitting investigative journalism stuff.

Oddly enough, they're somehow able to afford their own URLs.

Well the Winnipeg guy seems to blog intermittently so he probably just has a job that isn't time consuming. I know the local guy is unemployed because I knew him personally. I think he is on disability now.

I guess the more accurate description would be "doesn't have much of a life and spends most of his time arguing with six other people on the internet".

I was in Manitoba when that happened.

Some people have too much time on their hands and use too much of it to complain. And yet they never run for council! They say they will but they don't.

You're right, a few of them do run for council. They never get more than 2 or 3% of the vote though.

I expect the OP (or a mod) removed it since it was actually about MLS sales and not housing starts, IIRC.

Perhaps only a thread rename was in order.
