I think this will look nice when finished up. I like the site plan. Better than what was there and decent land use imo.

Just take a look at the 14 story apartment buildings going up near the Pine Street shelter or the ones under construction in Buckhead that are between 8 and 13 stories. Same type of material used to construction those residential buildings.
Prescient Company has a lot of videos on how their product saves waste & time with this technique.

Critics of "efficient" finishes and basic design will hate it, but I'm excited to see modular/pre-fab midrise multi-family as the next step in driving down construction costs & time here in Atlanta.

No. Looks like they simply copied The Brady and put it on the east side of Howell Mill. Not sure why they'd photoshop it like this, other than to make the street a little more attractive, but ugh.

Re: Prescient or other similar light gauge metal building systems... it sure beats the flammability of the one+five wood buildings that dominate our landscape which is why they get the extra height bonus. They're of a much higher quality and I hope we continue to see more as the value of land continues to balloon and the labor and material savings of prefab elements outweigh higher upfront costs.

It's the same structure for 505 Courtlandt as well. That one is 12 stories of apartments (4 stories of parking).

On a zoning review meeting, Outfront is trying to work with the city to bring their billboards in compliance with current zoning laws. it appears they are proposing removing the two billboards in front of this building, and are looking to 'upgrade' some other billboards to digital throughout the city. They are removing several billboards and converting others to digital throughout the city.

*Nevermind**. This motion was rejected due to the 'upgraded' billboards being non-compliant to current zoning laws. Looks like for now these billboards will stay. I did hear the Outfront rep saying that they tried to work with the developer of the under construction building behind these billboards to mount the billboards to the building, but that was 'not feasible'.

I disagree- they have plenty of digital billboards added downtown to the faces of buildings, which add a bit of vibrancy in my opinion, however I don’t think zoning allows this in midtown.

That's too bad that they couldn't work something out. Now we're stuck with two ridiculous billboards in front of the building.
