Yes, the would like to bring more attention to this property (why wouldn't they?), even though it is in the Hudson Yards area that is already hot on the map for development. The only thing it would do more than otherwise, the plan is
particularly geared for the supertall community, someone who
could build this tower in particular. Of course it won't be the same exact building - it's conceptual.
But I don't see what you're so twisted up about. It's a plan (that's evolving), but not a proposal at this point, which is why we haven't changed the information in the thread.
