Good news is that Lucky Strike has a sister concept that’s looking to lease some of that space along Clark Street.

I was thinking the same thing. If I had known there were plans to rehab it into a bar and restaurant that people have mentioned in the Wrigleyville thread, I definitely would have asked for more details. At the moment I’m just assuming it might be old info. Guess we’ll just have to wait and see.

So either the FTW or the LIVE format. Either could work but the LIVE format might be more interesting.

Either way, I really wish some other developer had gotten their hands on this property and given us something actually noteworthy.

Oh yeah, that does ring a bell re Roszack...had forgotten about that.....would seem to be a possibility.

The guy has a huge hard-on for developing retail property and has spent most of it doing so in suburban settings (he notably spent 10 years as CEO of GGP which was the largest owner of suburban shopping centers before being bought out by Brookfield). His real passion is retail and the only reason he got in the business of mixed-use was because he recognized that that's the only setting it really has a future in. Just hearing him talk made it sound pretty obvious as to how New City and Clark & Addison ended up so 'suburban' as they did. Anyways, Clark & Addison seems to have gotten a pretty slow start to leasing (60% so far) and a surprising amount of them are actually bringing their cars with them since the parking spots have been going like hotcakes. Also this may be dated information, but Bucksbaum was under the impression that a CVS was to replace that auto body shop being torn down next to his building. Apparently, there were once plans for them to go in the space that Harley Davidson currently occupies but it didn't happen (because Harley Davidson is admittedly a cooler sounding tenant).
Did Bucksbaum mention any tenants for IMD Gateway? Or were there any tenants visible on the presentation boards?

I've been selfishly looking forward to more retail options further west so I don't have to keep going to Roosevelt/Canal.

It blows my mind how much that edge of town has changed/is changing.

Every time I see pictures like this, I remember the NeoCon Guerrilla Trunk Shows.

Such a transformation (for the better).

Most of the conversation was centered around the Wrigley Field Development so we didn't hear much about the IMD development. This is the only marketing material that was up for the project (sorry for the potato quality), but I'm pretty sure these renderings have been out for a while.

Funnily enough though, Bucksbaum did mention that although the master plan for the area was mainly concerned with providing services for the Medical District he saw a lot of opportunity in the Tri-Taylor neighborhood as well.

Also if anybody's interested in a tour of those Addison & Clark Apartments, I just found out about this event through a friend of mine.

New medical center building for Rush in the IMD was issued a construction permit for the foundation yesterday on the NE corner of Harrison & Ashland - 10 stories - but I'm guessing it will end up counting as a high rise?

I walk by this site often and I was wondering when the first phase will be open. I hope some good restaurants and stores will open soon.

Stop by the Binny's right over there one of these days and say hi! (Yeah, this former oilfield geologist/petrophysicist is now working at Binny's. Heh)

For those that were bemoaning the flat details on Gr333n a while back - it looks like there is still a lot of texture coming…

That is great to see. We should have known it was not the finished product with the SS brackets visible. It appears there will be 8 levels of those black bands.
