Well the foundation has clearly been poured, the first bit was in late January. Judging by this shot I will guess the final bit was poured about 10-14 days ago. There aren't any shots for the past month so I can only guess.

The site has looked the same for the past 3 weeks...the developer must be waiting for something (I walked by last night).

Speaking of...

http://www.bisnow.com/commercial-rea...in-at-222-2nd/

Dropbox's competitor "Box" apparently in leases at 222 Second. Dropbox just took all of 345 Brannan and 333 Brannan, both UC now a half mile away.

According to the webcam, the rest of the crane is going up today. My guess is that it will be another luffing! So 3 yellow luffing cranes in a row right there (2 for SFMOMA).

^Not to mention two additional tall buildings on Howard that aren't shown in that video.

The crane is still being assembled:

(Those two cranes in the background are at SFMOMA.)

And there is progress being made at the bottom of the hole as well. I'm not sure, but I think this is forming for the core:

Now Bloomberg is reporting the LinkedIn deal too.

Too bad, "Box" would've been a more appropriate name for the tower!

Great news, but when are Apple, Google, and Facebook going to make major moves to the cit? That would be the really big news.

(Well it's probably not going to happen for Apple since they are building a "green" campus in the suburbs where every employee will drive their "green" Audis to work.)

Ha. You can forget Facebook as well; they've already got plans for a major expansion in Palo Alto. Not sure about Google.

Google already has offices in the city, and I don't just mean the roaming ones

This building is all business, just like LinkedIn. Perfect match. Now hire me to do web dev in this building

When major tenants snap up entire towers under construction, it often spurs developers to go ahead and build additional towers...
