At this point, whatever fills those damn lots, and is architecturally pleasing.

Can you assign those heights to the drawings in the Winnipeg diagram, Cyro?

Hey Esq. Pretty much just make the request in the form of a post in the thread below, one of the illustrators or those that toil relentlessly daily ( tough job) or are assigned the task will make the change if requested and verified by some official source..

In this case Scotia Bank Tower, although officially we're still estimating at this point..

Since City Place has nothing going on the in the mall, why don't they open something up to the street already..

Nice photo.

Look at the partially recladded Artis Building glistening in the background. She's gonna be a beauty once she's done.

I would be interested in knowing what, if any, plans are going on behind the scenes in conjunction with TNS. Is some strategy being created in terms of what the mall is to become, etc.

Certainly hope so, but the renovations both to the structure and store layouts to accomodate street side retail would be priiiiicey.

Yet it's exactly what the city needs more of.

Yeah, it's hard to believe that with all the redevelopment that has happened in the last 12 or 13 years within two blocks of the place (MTS Centre, Hydro, Centrepoint, Powerhouse, soon to be joined by TNS and possibly Skycity) that the mall part of Cityplace is even more lame than it was when Eaton's had just shut down for good. I mean, at least it's been renovated a bit, but it's pretty dead apart from the food court for about 3 hours a day.

The issue is, what can be done with it? Between the loss of the north wing to make way for the MTS Centre and conversion of the so much remaining space to office uses, it can't really be a legitimate shopping mall anymore. Maybe its destiny is simply to be the downtown version of a neighbourhood strip mall (bank, walk-in clinic, drug store, liquor mart) with a bunch of restaurants thrown in?

Perhaps they will land tenants TNS cannot accommodate?

Well the liquor mart will be moving to TNS which would free up several potential Hargrave storefronts close to Graham. That's a start.

With the impending influx of residents to the area, it would make sense to be open for a bit in the evenings at least. Right now they close at 6 I think. Are they open on weekends? Although the Ellice location is open regular hours I believe.

300 Main, SkyCity, TNS. That's approaching 1000 residential units.

cityplace LC closes at 7. Latest any are allowed to close is 11, and that's mostly only major locations (Grant Park, Osborne). Most locations in Winnipeg are 10 pm.

It's strange to me that the Ellice & Hargrave location is only open til 10 and not 11. Been there at 930 a few times and it can be a mad house on weekends. I'm sure the TNS one will be open til 10 at least, assuming it has an outdoor entrance. The issue with cityplace is there's no one in there past 6, and there's another location 2 blocks away anyway.

I know this is the TNS thread, but I'd actually like to see the Ellice location close AND MOVE a little further into the Exchange. No reason to have 2 that close to each other when the massive new one opens, and Ellice location is kinda far from East Exchange residents.
