Time for a compilation thread. This time, it's all about Hong Kong's glassy skyscrapers from my own photo collection :

Hong Kong is glassy!
Langham Place looks awesome as usual. Even though it differs a lot from the other structures in Mong Kong, it somehow fits in.

I can never remember which one is Highcliff, and which one is the Summit.

I wonder if it can be traced back to this building for starting the unfortunate trend in China that is; 'balls on top syndrome'. It's a terrible disease that MUST be addressed.

There used to be an observation deck in that ball. I don't think many people knew about it actually. However, it closed since it is now a government-owned building (Chinese government, that is).

This building was completed in 1999.
I doubt that it started the trend. But I agree that the ball on top is not a good idea.

wowwwwwwwww, i live in puerto vallarta MEXICO and i had my mouth open this is the city of my dreams, so many skyscrapers everywhere and soo beatiful, here in puerto vallarta the tallest buildings are over 25-30 floors 100 mts shangri-la marinda condos 19 floors, grand venetian towers 1000-2000-3000 every one of 26 floors and peninsula vallarta towers 1-2-3 with 28 florrs each one, but HK city is impressive even more than dubai i loved regards to all the people of hong kong

As long as there is reflective glass, the buildings won't be heat traps. However, since it gets quite warm for most of the year, air-conditioning is a standard feature (but not heating).
