Exclusive: Renderings surface of new office tower near Heights
The Houston Business Journal obtained two renderings of a new 25-story office tower that will rise near the Heights.
Stream Realty Partners LP and Blackswan Investment Partners, both based in Houston, are developing the 220,000-square-foot office structure on corner of Washington and Waugh streets.
A source close to the deal said the structure is being built 100 percent on a speculative basis and the developers plan to break ground as soon as Nov. 1. It is expected to be ready for occupancy by summer 2015. Stream Realty would not officially comment on the project.
The lead designer on the project is Page Southerland Page, based in Houston. A general contractor has not been announced.
22 Waugh provides an unmatched opportunity to be in astate-of-the-art new building with direct access to I-10, as well as proximity to Houston’s finest neighborhoods such as River Oaks, Tanglewood and the Memorial Villages. In addition to on-site retail, the building is within walking distance of Washington Avenue, which hosts a wide array of dining and shopping choices in this high-energy area. The podium structured building provides unobstructed, 360-degree views of the CBD, Galleria, Buffalo Bayou and Memorial Park, creating an ideal office environment on every floor.
