(1) Yes, I printed the terrain map from Google to draw this because drawing everything from scratch would have taken too long.
(2) @swimmer_spe wanted me to look at the original realignment proposed by M.T.O.
(3) I was curious how Maley Drive Extension fits in with the Coniston-Markstay Freeway.
(4) I was curious whether weaving would be a concern. Well, if all the exit markers are correct, it’s not.
(5) Due to scale, I had to omit lots of details, i.e.length of merge lanes.
(6) @swimmer_spe can be cringe sometimes.

Edit: https://imgur.com/a/BeBZTMf
I made some fixes to the drawing.

Does anyone have drawings or know where to find them?

I am interested in the proposed alignment between Britt and 522 (through key river area).

The alignment must be finalized (at least between 522 and key river) since they have already built a new bridge in the woods East of the current highway and they relocated "corner gas" a couple of years ago. But the latest drawings I can find online are from 2004 and still list that section as "planning phase"

Thanks!

I do have a couple detailed designs saved on my laptop, but I need to check if any shows the said area. (I suspect that the ones that I have pertain to the FN’s instead.)

I don't think the legit project website is still online anymore, but you can see the proposed route for Highway 69 through the Key River here:

Oh yea another thing: I now remember that animal fences are already up for the new alignments. In the event of fire on the highway, how do we escape lol?

The archive.org link worked perfectly, thanks! I have an older map that shows the exit at 522 being east of key river marina but it looks like it's changed since then. This explains why they moved Corner Gas.

Turn around, go the wrong way for a bit and get to the other side either at an interchange or one of those things between the two roadways for emergency vehicles.

I was thinking the same too. I had in mind a scenario where the fire would break out in front of, not behind, me. In that case, I hope there would be no traffic going in the opposite direction. (A speed differential of 120 kph won't be fun.)
Once I reach an interchange, I'm getting out~

Copied from UrbanTO:
Quote:
Traffic on Highway 69 is now directed on the new southbound carriageway and bridges over the Pickerel and French Rivers. The old Highway 69 alignment that provides access to the French River Park and visitors centre, the Hungry Bear restaurant, the marina at the Pickerel River, etc. is now named "Settlers Road."

Work is still underway on the northbound carriageway and the two new interchanges to connect to Old Highway 69/Settlers Road and Highway 607.
It's interesting that the old alignment of 69 isn't just signed 607.

It might be unsigned.

Possibly, unless it is unsigned. If it is just a road, it is the responsibility of the municipality. If it is an unsigned highway, it is the responsibility of the province.

There's one that parallels QEW through Oakville IIRC.
