Interesting to see that the cars in that rendering are photoshopped in, they aren't simply from the google earth 3d view.

How would they get Google Earth 3D view of vehicles into a rendering? The building doesnt exist so how would cars on Google Earth exist on a building that does not exist?

Well, one thing to notice is that the Google Earth imagery they used to superimpose the rendering to is the imagery from the previous Google Earth imagery update. So, if you go on Google Earth now you're going to see different images (and cars).

Several buildings are either still under construction in this image or are missing completely, but they're shown in the current Google Earth imagery.

Before I caught that, I was going to suggest that perhaps it was the speed of the cars that messed with the clarity of the images, but we all know no one ever drives faster than 5 mph on I-35.

Is that shack on the lot in front of the building on the frontage road? What happened to the Avis dealer there. That whole image is wrong I think and how did it get there? Edit: the image is correct, it is just so distorted through GE.

All those Sheraton views to the North are now dust. I wonder if they lowered those rack rates on that side of the building.

Well...not always...ask Rosanne Barr, but I get your point. As long as its harmless, but usually "harmless" is up for debate these days.

preeeettty. I hope we start seeing more brick in our new buildings like this one. This one is a pretty basic (though handsome) design but i like the variation in materials and colors.

I agree, and handsome is a good description. I think it will look good especially at night if the roof cap is lit. This really does extend the skyline to the north which I hope continues with some decent height fill ins. I wonder if we could see a new cluster here or do you think there wouldn't be any room for one? What a "welcome to downtown" this will give southbound travelers on I35.

It looks great on the streetside there, but the side facing I-35 in the above rendering leaves a bit to be desired with the 29-floor blank wall.

It's the relative of the Four Season's Residencies. Very similar in look in coloration and even in design elements. Not saying that is bad, just can't deny how similar it looks including from street level.
