i took a walk around the new domino sugar plant park in williamsburg, brooklyn --- enjoy!

Really terrific looking! Hunters Point South Park just opened to the north as well. I wish the city would connect Brooklyn and Queens across Newtown Creek with a new pedestrian bridge/park.

I think that's actually planned. I've seen renderings.

I visited Domino Park two weeks ago, and what struck me was that it was a particularly democratic space, that had been embraced by all the local demographics. Not just the hipster and professional types, but the Hasidics, the Latinos. It's a pleasant and welcoming space.

Ha, I was in New York a couple of weeks ago and went looking for this, but I couldn't find it and then it got too late and I had a train to catch. So thanks for the tour.

^ yeah its a bit out of the way from the subway. i wandered over from the marcy station. the bedford L train station is also close.

I am always wondering, what is the difference for a kid being raised in Manhattan NYC between the one being raised in Manhattan, Kansas?

The kid in NYC can have fun by the fountains in the city and see many urban tall buildings? What is the benefit of it?
The kid in Manhattan, KS can play in the rural farm fields, that is good or bad

The NYC kid and KS kid they speak the same language eat the same food, then what on earth is the difference?

^ haha -- don't be fooled -- i really don't think the nyc kid and the kansas kid speak the same language or eat the same food!

i don't think they do in old haarlem or old york either!
