Maastricht and/or Aachen meet? Anyone interested?

Tag, Dag and Howdy,

Anyone interested in a Maastricht meet? Maybe walk the walls and town. Or Aachen? Why should the biggest cities get all the love LOL

Maybe do it before it gets to cold.

Just an idea.

I'm up for it, but I will be very busy the coming months (the end of the year always is). I can picture something for January or later though. Or maybe springtime?
I always wanted to have a meet up with SSP forumers from NL-Belgium-Western Germany, unfortunately there aren't that many (so I don't think you will get much response to this thread ). But if we were to include some SSC forumers, some of which also occasionally post here, it would be doable.

Sure lets do it, though I don't do SSC anymore. I barely have the time and bandwith LOL to do this one much but it would be fun. Heck Liege (though kinda dumpy IMO) is close by too and can be fun. Or Eindhoven, even Cologne and Dusseldorf. So many possibilities.

Ciao,
Tony

With Jman coming over we might try end of January early febuary.

We could do Aachen, maastricht and Liege or any combination of them. Maybe the dreilandpunt as well?

Shiro, Jman you out there? I'll send PMs too. I don't remember Jman's schedule but Feb 3-4 weekend works for me and hopefully Grumpy too it seems!. I'll be traveling from the states the weekend before and in Spain the weekend after. Hopefully we can work something out.
If you guys can take the train down from Eindhoven I can pick you up in Sittard and we can drive around, I have room.

Since Jman is here on Friday we will have to do it then.

IS a particular time good for everyone? I can meet folks at the train station in sittard then drive to Maastricht or we can meet folksin Maastricht.

www.ns.nl has train schedules (for those that don't know)

Send me a PM and I can give you my German cell phone number (sorry I canceled my Dutch one)

Ciao,
Tony

Sorry guys. Jman can only come down on Friday, and I have to drive to Kaiserslautern on Saturday. But we can do another meet in a month or two. I'll post more here on the Euro forum.

Thanks for the interest!!!

Ciao,
TOny

I picked them up in Sittard, had to run by my house across the border, then went to the dreilandpunt (Vaals), Maastricht, and then had dinner across the border near my town in a town called Hongen in Selfkant.

It was quick but nice.

Thanks again Tony for the great day! I for one had a blast!
Never been to the Drielandenpunt and Maastricht was even better then I remembered. Being driven around in your American truck over the Dutch highways was also fun!
On our way home we had to take the bus (provided by NS) between Weert and Eindhoven because someone jumped in front of the train (this happens something like once every 3 days somewhere in the country but you never read about it in the papers), but we got home allright and after visiting a friend who gave us some beers for the rest of the walk home, we stumbled into a pokergame being played at my house.

You need to come this way soon and be sure to bring some of your friends too. We can go check out Eindhoven/Tilburg or Rotterdam/The Hague or even Amsterdam. We can make it a mini forum meet with Grumpy and anyone else who is interested.

Cheers!

@ sandor: when we got back to your place that night, that dj coone song (on TV) got stuck in my head so i downloaded it when i got home. lol.

Haha, DJ Coone!
Yeah they were playing all kinds of weird music that night. Even a rap song that made Rotterdam look like the Bronx .
