About a week or two ago, there is a thread somewhere here.

Now anyone can do traffic reports lol. It's slow on E. Columbia and Brunette through New West, 72 Ave through Surrey is slow, as is parts of Kingsway around Metrotown. Hwy 1, Hwy 91, Hwy 99 is all clear. Mary Hill Bypass is clear, with usual lineups at the Hwy 1 onramp. Hwy 15 has slow spots, and Peace Arch Border has a bit of a wait.

Nice - looks like they went through in spring when the flowers are in bloom. My condo looks great.

I think there are lots of very very recent updates - look at Cambie Street near Broadway, the road digging shown there was in September.

So I wondered if they did updates for areas that were inaccessible due to construction?

I am surprised at how extensive it is. I notice now the Calgary one is up, and I am in a new subdivision in the middle of nowhere and it has my street, too!

Definitely some of the finer imaging I have seen. They must have new technology, from when they first started in Japan.

Don't know the address, but if someone finds the Olympic countdown clock that would be a pretty good indicator..

you, sir, are brilliant.

clicky clicky

289 days, which means that this photo was taken on................. April 29, 2009

if had driven by that area 9 days earlier it would have captured a much more interesting scene.

^Like I said above, the pictures are a mix of shots from earlier on this year and some very recent shots - as recent as September.

I`m having fun exploring places I`ve never been, like White Rock.

Ah, they caught a press conference of some sort outside the Peace Arch visitor centre.

yeah me too. I can see my balcony too. I went by where I work and I can actually recognize two co workers on the street during lunch, although they are a little blurry...

I know some people on the news were complaining about privacy with regards to this but I think it's quite awesome. They captured my truck on the street where I live and it's been fun showing some of my friends who live in the US the beauty that is Vancouver (they have never been).

And yes you can do the streetview along the entire Sea-to-Sky. They did it apparently before the Eagle Ridge part was complete but they did it on a beautiful clear day so some of the views are amazing. Not the same as being there, stopping, and getting out to look, but again quite nice to show people out of area.

I want to find out what is involved in getting a job driving one of those cars. I'd love to take a month or so and drive around the rest of BC for them. There's some amazing scenery in BC and capturing areas like Kamloops, Savona, Vanderhoof, Prince Rupert, etc., I think would be great.

Driving the open road on lovely sunny days would be loads of fun. But I imagine a big part of the job is going at 5km/h along every single residential road, up and down, not missing a single block. Maybe they only work on sunny days to get the best-looking shots, so for most of BC outside of a couple of months, that could be a real "hurry up and wait" job.

I did find one glitch or at least it seems like a glitch to me.

Go to street view at 240th st and 102nd Ave in Maple Ridge. Now go east along 102nd Ave and when you get to around 243 st. You will suddenly be looking at someones wooden garage.
