I am confused with some of these elevations- esp. concerning "h" elements on the second page - stone lintels with no windows above them? Why put them in? Or is this supposed to represent some internal window not being shown? A little confused as to why windows aren't being punched in there but stone lintels are being added.

*EDIT* oh I see.. upon looking at the building side as it is now those WERE windows that were bricked up, whose lintels remain.. dunno why they don't just repunch windows into these spots, but maybe they anticipate another building beside here one day (ONE CAN HOPE! )

I must say though.. the side of this building is THE most raped side of a building I have ever seen.. ever.

Wouldn't count on it..

If you have the chance, check out the wall in person and you will notice that it is a remaining wall from what stood there previously.

That would be great... hoping it inspires the northern adjacent owner to finally bring something more than a paved parking lot to the game.

yup. I've seen it - its the building that used to stand between that building and zellers.

then again they did clean the side of the building that was the lister block after the building that attached to it collapsed - and the part of the building that is still attached to this one is just a tiny tiny amount they should have probably sheared off completely..

Really looking forward to this one getting under way - forumers will be pleasantly surprised when they see what's under that thick layer of grime.

Barricades and construction fencing are going up today. It looks like construction is starting.

It's painful to see that parking lot where Zellers used to be, sad that owners don't share same enthusiasm as their neighbours in every direction.

I am really hoping some of the rendered details were done out of laziness, like the arches above the windows, which have architectural elements to them that they simply rendered as solid, and not that they are planning to just fill in details with some weird stucco-like finish..

also very curious to see what the "black stone" looks like after being cleaned..
