They are in the early stages of raising the crane now. It can be seen in this afternoon's views from the Independent webcam

It looks like a greenish tint to me. Glad to see more green hues although I'd like to see something darker than what we have so far.

How about gold? Or red?

For a boring box, I've always thought CNA in Chicago stands out nicely because it's red.

Not a fan of gold, personally. Red could be interesting...never thought of that in a skyline before.

They are working on floor #31 of 39. So that would be 9.

Thanks for the pics - being remote, I always appreciate it when one of you fortunate locals take the time to post these updates.

Having said that, am I the only one who thinks the north side of this building is turning out to be pretty fugly?

Or do any of you know what's going to happen to those solid, tan-ish colored panels that might make it a little less so, in the end?

Nice. Too bad we didn't know about it sooner. I added the link to the first post of this thread.

This one is much more striking than I originally gave it credit for at the outset. Maybe because it’s surrounded by shorter buildings...? Either way it’s pretty imposing.

Yea the back side is pretty dull. For sure the east, southeast and south face is going to be best view of this building.

This is an older rendering. I can't recall if they are still going with these colors but it would help it to stand out from all the beige with blue glass building on that side of downtown.

I don't think that brown is still planned. looks like it's been muted to a greyish tone.

Agree, it's going to stand out. I think it's 6 or 7 now floors to go now.

I hope this thing is lit up with LEDs at night.
